All About OLSHA
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy is an institute run by the Catholic Church. This 15-hectare school is located at St. John, Guimba, Nueva Ecija within the compound of St. John the Evangelist Church.
OLSHA was founded by Rev. Fr. Andrew Corsten, MSC, a Dutch missionary way back June 26, 1947. That time, it wasn’t called OLSHA yet. It was named as OLSCO or Our Lade of the Sacred Heart College for it offered some college course back then. OLSCO Building was still made of sawali and wood. In 1967, it became a three-storey building. It was also in the year 1967 when the 5:30 A.M. Class Mass started.
At first, Priest and Nuns administrated out school wholly. It was only in the year 1978 when the first lay minister; Mr. Aquilino Ben became the principal of the school. Our present principal, Ms. Norma I. Galang, followed him.
The first Reunion of OLSHAN’S in the U.S. was dated June 30, 2001. It consisted of the representatives from OLSHA Alumni Batches.
